Feb 24, 2019 at 9:11 comment added Albrecht Hügli that's fine if you have a bedroom. we were 3 children in one room in pre-school age. later we lived in an appartement with 3 rooms, our mother slept in the living room. mind that the bigger part of families living on this planet has no bedroom at all.

Jan 7, 2014 at 15:19 comment added Amy Patterson @Rhea Nope, I consider quiet reading time calm enough to be done in the bedroom. I have a bunch of pillows and stuffed animals in one corner of the room. They each grab their favorite blanket and curl up on each side of me. I let them each pick out one book and I pick out one. When I am done reading they crawl into bed. I want to get a lamp that is dimmer than the ceiling one so that it is darker when we are reading. I leave the books in their room so that they can "read" whenever they want to.
Jan 6, 2014 at 7:16 comment added Rhea @Amy - do you read to them in a separate room and then move on to the bedroom when it is time for the actual sleeping?
Jun 8, 2011 at 14:06 comment added Amy Patterson @Konerak We have decided that the boys will probably share their bedroom, since it is only for sleeping anyway. At least while they are in grade school.
Jun 8, 2011 at 13:53 comment added Konerak Hehe ok. We're thinking about what to put in which room, but will need a few more rooms if each kid gets a bed-only bedroom... I myself 'd rather have 1 big room (bed+desk) than 2 small rooms, but we're not there yet either!
Jun 8, 2011 at 13:37 comment added Amy Patterson @Konerak So far the kids are only a year old (twins) so not yet. Our plan is that by that point we will have invested in an addition with an office/library. In it will will have desks/study space for each of us. I feel it is important that even though we have a small house each person needs their own personal space. For now though we are just working on not tripping over the mega blocks that litter our living room floor. :)
Jun 7, 2011 at 17:54 comment added Konerak Do the kids that go to school have their own place to study? If not, how can they concentrate?
Apr 5, 2011 at 6:01 comment added Torben Gundtofte-Bruun Plus, the living room becomes the family room where all activities take place. Easier to keep an eye on the kids while doing chores :)
