May 27, 2020 at 9:03 comment added vol7ron @kat good point and yes that’s the premise. It’s a little more of a stretch, but not too much. Assuming the circadian rhythm is thrown off, sleep can become affected that can lead to extending sleep or periods of laying down, which may lead to #3.
May 27, 2020 at 6:51 comment added Stephie @Kat tangential side note, veering off towards health topics: Too much sleep can worsen existing medical conditions like depression. But I agree that nothing in the question hints in that direction.
May 27, 2020 at 4:32 comment added Kat Your link for #3 is a bit of a stretch. Sleep is good for you, and there's not any evidence that there's any such thing as "too much sleep". If you have the urge to sleep, you probably need it unless you have some sort of disorder. That article is just saying to be active while you're awake instead of being a lazy bum. In any case, waking up late doesn't mean you slept a lot.

May 26, 2020 at 22:08 comment added Joe Hi, welcome to the site. This looks like it could be a good answer, but it makes some factual claims that don't include references to support those claims. Please find sources to back those up to make this a good answer. Thanks!
