I mean, that's kinda the role of TV show writers: to make audience empathise with characters. But does your 3 year old actually, well, empathise with people?
Sep 4, 2018 at 12:34 comment added AGB @BCLC She empathises strongly with others, so in relation to watching TV she empathises with the predicament of the characters. This can lead to her becoming upset or worried on their behalf.
