Waking up every hour at night to feed is not rare for breastfed babies, up to 6 months or even much later for some, although there is a consensus that beyond 6mo babies don't physiologically need to be fed this frequently since they have enough fat reserves to sustain a whole night without feeding. This happens for some bottle fed babies too. All that is to say: manage your expectations, some babies are more difficult than others, and every babies are different.
