Aug 25, 2019 at 16:23 comment added Aster Anecdata: My mother who has had no success with traditional diets, tried a carbohydrate-free diet with bacon and eggs every morning for a long period of time (in the range of 6 months to a year), her cholesterol test showed she had the lowest cholesterol she had ever had and everything was not just 'nominal' but 'excellent'. She didn't change any other aspect of her lifestyle aside from what she ate.
Feb 2, 2016 at 0:51 comment added user1751825 Every day seems a bit excessive for bacon and eggs. What about some other options, like fruit salad or oatmeal/porridge. My children love porridge, and it's very healthy, as long as you're not adding too much sugar.
Jan 28, 2016 at 15:21 comment added Laurent S. I would say the main issue in any case is the "everyday" part. The best for a kid, I think, is a varied diet, because that will make him used to what's also probably the best for any adult. Talking about Atkins, Dukan (which I did with great results) and so on is only viable when you need to lose weight, as an adult, which will probably not occur if you're used to a varied diet...

Jan 28, 2016 at 3:20 comment added Stu W Indeed. But that totally isn't my point. The OP asked for specific health and nutrition concerns regarding a high-fat, high-protein diet. Atkins, both advocates and detractors, bring an armament of scientific data to the table--on both sides.
Jan 27, 2016 at 21:22 comment added James Snell @StuW - while scientific in presentation atkins is almost entirely in opposition to every evidence-based nutritional study going. Ask the AMA, ADA and NIH... for starters.

The word "everyday" is an adjective. Changed to "every day", which is a noun. Fixed up grammar and removed "thanks" as well.

Jun 15, 2011 at 20:24 comment added DA01 Kids can eat almost anything and as long as they are active, there's not a whole lot to fear. That said, these turns into habits, and bacon and eggs every day becomes a problem once you hit 30 or so.
