Sep 20, 2019 at 14:20 | comment | added | PoloHoleSet | @v.oddou - "to a very great degree; very" - I can't use a synonym for "very?" Really? I'm not going all in while simultaneously acknowledging that I'm doing so with full knowledge of the situation. So, yeah, calling it VERY judgmental and hostile can be an accurate and objective assessment, and it's relevant towards potentially improving the answer.

Require her to be in a space also occupied by or easily visible to a parental figure, and to stick to public areas of the residence, or at the very least to keep the door to her room open and background noise to a minimum.
Sep 20, 2016 at 14:37 | comment | added | Anoplexian | As a heterosexual male who has never been in a situation anywhere like this, this is EXCELLENT advice. As a PIA growing up, my parents tended to let me sort through my own problems, and it helped me to mature as an individual, especially knowing that I could make mistakes on my own, without them interfering. Now this is just my perspective as a recent teenager, but I joined the community to upvote this post. Thank you. +1

Extended discussion should occur in Parenting Chat. If you disagree with an answer, it is okay to post a short comment explaining why you are (presumably) downvoting it, but let's keep it civil, and directly to the point.
