Mar 4, 2016 at 22:20 comment added Kai Qing When I play operation with my 3 year old I give her 2 chances per turn while I take 1. She has defeated me legitimately. The handicap may depend on the game, but if you make it seem like it's an actual challenge and praise them when they score, then they'll continue to play and have fun. I don't know if there's a ratio per say. Just feel it out. You can tell when kids are having fun

Apr 4, 2014 at 18:05 comment added Doc lol, I'm amazed that this question (given the old title) didn't make it into the Hot Network Questions. Was the title edited too quickly? Anyway, this is legitimately a good question.

"Beating" has multiple meanings.
Apr 1, 2014 at 21:58 comment added Jax I totally misunderstood the intent of your question from the title! You might want to revise your question because I thought you were asking how often to use physical punishment! You are in fact asking instead how often you should let your child win when playing games. Hopefully, like me, others will read further than your title, but in case they don't, you might get better results if you rephrase.
