Being consistent as a parent or caregiver, creating and maintaining consistency in a child's life.

Children thrive on consistency. If they know where the boundaries are, they, tend, to feel safe. They will always rally against boundaries, but where there is inconsistency it can lead to emotional and behavior difficulties for children, as they can be unsure of what is expected of them.

Sometimes circumstances can create flux in consistency in parenting. Meeting the challenges that prevent consistency, problem solving and creating strategies to help provide a consistent environment for a child.
