There’s real risk that parents will mistake cultural stereotypes for universal human truths, which of course they are not, and you haven’t fallen into that. Ikenobō, one of the branches of the Japanese art of flower-arranging, is an ancient, venerable, and extremely highly respected tradition in that land, where no gender-biased stigma is ever attached to it as it too often is in our own.
