I am a professional software engineer and a new father, however I am not new to child development. I have a B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA, US) and a M.S. in Software Engineering from Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA, US).

Is this diaper rash caused by starting on solids? @DanBeale yes he is. He already has 2 teeth and has started gnawing on everything in sight (again). |

What are some techniques for toddlers to develop and practice good listening skills? Well, the thing is that you actually want your child to seek to avoid negative consequences by not behaving in a way that results in those types of consequences. If you see some really obvious avoidance behavior then you are probably not providing positive consequences to balance w/ the negative ones. Ideally you want your child to seek the positive consequences of doing what he/she is supposed to do. |

What are some techniques for toddlers to develop and practice good listening skills? Are you providing consequences for your child's (mis)behavior that go beyond "disciplinary threats"? |
