I'm an engineer, with some focus on signal processing and a bit of control systems. I am also a hobby photographer, and fairly avid programmer. What disorder is associated with social awkwardness, hugging, intelligence, and difficulty focusing? @Koert: That's what I've always thought about it. It's a really interesting syndrome, or whatever you want to call it, it's worth knowing about because it can help you better fit in the world, but I do agree that people who have it aren't fundamentally wrong, or anything like that. |

How can firearms be secured from children? @Hedge: Sure, but you could place them at least somewhat differently, say, in different drawers of the same dresser, or on two different bookshelves. Even that little bit of additional protection is huge. |
