comment How do I tell my parents I'm no longer Christian?
"Give them the story of faith with no works and works with no faith" - this seems to need a little bit more detail to be of actual actionable use to the questioner, IMHO

comment Wrist tendonitis from carrying babies
Also, what are the twins' ages? There's a big physical difference in terms of picking up and holding a baby who can't support head yet, vs older baby, vs. a toddler who can hold on themselves pretty well.

Can you please clarify - is the problem the act of picking up, or the act of carrying once picked up? The answer may differ based on that.

@blankip - you should edit that clarification into your question

@Atsby - I have 2 words for you: "Romeo" and "Juliet" :)

"Don't give a lecture about all the psycho women who ruined your life" - that's easy to fix. Just absolutely prohibit him from dating non-psycho women. Either he will (as any sane teenager) date non-psychos on principle; or he will listen to you, date a couple of psychos, get that experience out of his system early; or if he's really smart, will ask you why you're giving such a weird advice, which nicely seguays into sharing your experiences with him at HIS prompting.

Can you clarify the "i'm just here" part? In my experience, kids that age ASK "can I help you get this, can I grab that" before even being asked, more often than not.

comment My 13-year-old son made a foolish and wasteful donation. How can I teach him he was wrong?
-1 - as other answers artfully elaborated, this is NOT "funny" in a large scheme of things, as it has negative real world consequences at best, and is a sign that the child is willing to be pressured into doing bad things by the crowd at worst.

+1 for overall strong answer, but I strongly disagree with "First off, I strongly recommend taking the money out of your thinking". 13 is old enough to understand the value of money (in overall human development picture, even if not in pampered First World 21st century coddled youth environment) - people used to work for a living at 13. If you don't teach a child the value of money at 13, you're at risk of ending up with a wastrel when he's 23 and 33.

comment Why should I be hell bent on educating my toddler when she's going to learn the stuff anyways when she grows up?
@Zibbobz - no, but frankly i'd be more inclined to believe that claim from personal experience :)

comment Why should I be hell bent on educating my toddler when she's going to learn the stuff anyways when she grows up?
@Zibbobz - The distinction I see in OP's question is: "Learn topic X1 at 3 years old (which takes 6 months), then learn topic X2 at 5 years old", vs "Learn topic X1 at 5 years old (by now it takes 2 weeks), then learn topic C2 at 5 years old and 2 weeks".

comment Why should I be hell bent on educating my toddler when she's going to learn the stuff anyways when she grows up?
@Zibbobz - that only notes taht you need to learn prior things. It doesn't say you need to learn them early - yes you need to learn topic A before topic B. What's in question for the OP isn't that, it's why does A need to be learned years before B, instead of right before B. The source you linked doesn't address timelines, just dependency chains.

@DaveClarke - as you learn on Skeptics.SE, a lot of times "common sense" is wrong :)
