How can we introduce some formula for our baby? No worries. we had issues with the child being confused when we did the same, at about the same age. I cnanot remember how it was solved, so will consult with the mnanagement and come back. It did get solved. I actually think, iirc, that we changed the style of teat |

Is it usual to meet with a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor for a first prenatal visit? Oooh, I have just noticed that in the states a quack doctor is a fraud! In the UK, and Aus etc I believe, you simply say, I am off to the quacks, when you're off to see the doc - During the Black Plague, doctors wore long masks with beaks on them that were stuffed with herbs and smelling flowers to get rid of the smell, so they were called quacks. |

Is it usual to meet with a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor for a first prenatal visit? It's just slang and isn't derogatory. It used to be solely for psychiatrists (quack docs), but now is used as a general term for doctors |

My child doesn't want to be seen in public with me… what should I do? I also agree Torben, as an adult, I am sure you shouldn't be making this about you at any stage; with maturity comes understanding I guess. My girls hate me singing in the car, they don't like me dad dancing, as it does the same thing. I simply sing louder, worse, and dance more. I wouldn't tell the kid this hurts your feelings, as it shouldn't, not to an emotuionaly stable person. If he told you he hated you, you'd have reason to feel hurt, but not this. |

Is there an alternative to Boy/Girl Scouts in the US? If it's off ghana, its probably been georeferenced as 0,0 and is a mistake, not a pirate ship. But there is one off St Lucia, I am told ;) |

How does having a second child change your life? Strangely, we find 3 easier than 2 was. As for holidays, we bought a gite, as we thought it the best way to holiday as a larger family and could get a return. The idea of staying in hotel rooms for 2 weeks with all the family makes me shudder. |

Is it okay to let a baby cry at bedtime? I also think there has to be a certain amount of common sense applied. I know when my baby is simply crying as she wants to moan a little, and when she needs attention. Attending to the latter is a matter of need, and the former request and should be dealt with differently. When we put our new born down for a nap, she cries, and will always cry. We let her cry this out. However, there are other cries that need prompt action, like full nappy cries, hunger cries, pain, etc. It's important to make sure you treat each one accordingly. |

When do kids usually stop believing in Santa Claus? Well William, we'll have to agree to disagree. I think Christianity is solely based on your own personal belief in their existence. |

Is it better to send your child to school with lunch, or lunch money? I especially like the idea of looking at the menu together. we do this. But to be frank, not many school meals can offer the nutrition you can give them so we always seem to come up with a good packed lunch plan for them, including soup in flasks. |

Is it better to send your child to school with lunch, or lunch money? I'd look at the menus/food offered and go from there. A childs nutrition is that much more important than how busy your day is. |

How do you handle a conflict between your child and a teacher? What would you consider major conflict? I think you should know your own children; I know mine very well and can see immediately if theyre being economical with the truth. I think you should be able to see if they're over egging the situation, and it's possibly the reason behind this, which needs addressing. |
