comment Do I need infant cloth diaper covers with a cut-out for the umbilical cord?
Agreed, we never had trouble with either of our sons and we use disposables for both.

comment Why would a primary-schooler want to kill himself?
+1 agreed, unless you spend time and he opens up you will not get an idea what is going on by guessing.

comment How do you stop a child from using bad language and profanity?
Personally I still worry about "soap blindness" but that's me. i never thought of the soap punishment as worthy, since most soaps today have stuff in there I can't pronounce. Nice answer though - +1

comment Where can we find ideas for activities for our toddler?
Yes, my point on the Zhu Zhu Pet's, they get annoying when they keep running around for minutes. Good point though!

comment How do you moderate a teenager's obsessive or excessive behavior?
Agreed, you have to consider the activity and what it is you are trying to promote. Sometimes the younger the child the more it will affect them, positively, as they get older. Only you know when something is being abused and how, just tell your children you set strict guidelines and that is it.

comment How do we teach a pre-schooler about money and shopping?
I'd agree with this but unless kids understand that the allowance does not go as far as they'd like, such as buying that toy or game they want, it's just money that they get. They have to understand that things cost money as well, that is the harder lesson to teach.

comment Is starting a small fire a good way to the explain dangers of flammability?
Yeah, same here but unfortunately our kitchen is limited in space and we have some really good childproof locks installed. Plus the kitchen is gated so we have multiple layers of security.

comment What should I teach my teenager about condoms?
Good point on pockets, I hadn't thought about carrying them with you...too used to having them at home I guess.

comment What should I teach my teenager about condoms?
+1 Great point about "it's obvious he doesn't care about you, only about getting laid"...so many times that is glossed over.

comment When should my child transition from tricycle to a bicycle?
I'm looking at doing this with my next one by taking off the pedals from my older one's bike. I don't need to buy another bike just for one, if I knew about these early on I'd have bought one long ago they look really effective.
