comment What should I teach my teenager about condoms?
Good point on pockets, I hadn't thought about carrying them with you...too used to having them at home I guess.

comment What should I teach my teenager about condoms?
+1 Great point about "it's obvious he doesn't care about you, only about getting laid"...so many times that is glossed over.

comment When should my child transition from tricycle to a bicycle?
I'm looking at doing this with my next one by taking off the pedals from my older one's bike. I don't need to buy another bike just for one, if I knew about these early on I'd have bought one long ago they look really effective.

comment What are the (dis)advantages of putting a child in a nursery or pre-school even when one parent is at home?
It's one point madge and off the topic of the question, I just found it less than helpful for the answer or a comment as to how a vast majority of children are there. Same as the kid warehousing, I'm sure they exist but I saw many day cares that were not like that. I think you are mostly overgeneralizing.

comment What are the pros and cons of a chicken-pox party vs immunization?
I was vaccinated as a kid but got it later on, through school, never did go to a chicken-pox party and only heard about them later. It was an inconvenience but not much more, although it was a very itchy week...I'd say see what happens and don't knowingly expose your kids to something they might get by chance on their own. Some diseases can be avoided and I take that view in my own life.

comment What are the (dis)advantages of putting a child in a nursery or pre-school even when one parent is at home?
Madge usually I respect your opinions, but this one seems to be more from a bad experience you had, its one answer of yours I disagree with. Few of your points I find self-evident but then everyone has bad experiences. I have never seen ay cares funded only from welfare programs, although I don't run in those circles I don't think they are representative.

This seems like the other one Ross posted about eating Bacon everyday...these could be combined...

comment Is bribing children with cash incentives a good idea?
good question but like many I avoid the bribery for things the kids should be doing anyway, I think it sets a bad example

comment Anything wrong with eggs and bacon every day for my kids' breakfast?
Agreed +1! I thought the same thing when I saw bacon everyday, I love it but that's too much for my waist-line1

comment Why does my infant wake crying the instant we put him in his bed?
Ours were too but they were ok with a slight incline, you don't need much just enough to offset the "gyroscope" but torbeng noted. Now I'm glad to know the name!

comment My child has chickenpox, am I infectious?
When dealing with infectious diseases like this, especially ones in the immunization regimen, I would avoid seeing an infant. You may or may not carry it, but why tae the chance. +1 on this one!
