Sep 12	comment	2 year old still does not (and has never) slept through the night I had to put a fair bit of toys in my older one's crib recently (she is roughly 26 months old as well). She's got a potato head, train tracks, 3 stuffed animals, a pillow, a blanket....and somehow there is room for her in there too. She plays with her toys and then eventually falls asleep (I can usually her talking through the door). Not sure if it'll work for you if it's just a cry for attention :( We also have ours go to the potty before bed and we have black-out blinds in her room. She sleeps roughly 10-12 hours straight. Bedtime for us is around 10 PM (she never falls asleep sooner)....

I think the exposure is kind of nice, but if you are terribly concerned, move your child to a different daycare where the primary language is English. Having the teacher speak English when nobody else in the kindergarten does seems slightly unreasonable of a request.

Jun 27	comment	How do children manage to sleep in noisy environments? Everyone will sleep anywhere, despite the noise levels, discomfort, etc. - if they are exhausted enough. Kids just get exhausted a lot faster. Some kids (and people) can sleep in noise even if they are not exhausted. Some can't. While my older daughter slept with any amount of noise, my younger one wakes up to my typing. So, it varies.

If the 1 year old baby is not drinking breastmilk or formula - you probably need to give it some water. Might be best to consult with a pediatrician in your region to determine if you should be giving water to the baby based on its diet.
