comment Explaining the concept of underwear to our toddler
Thank you for your answer. She definitely knows that the poop belongs in the toilet (I empty her poo from diapers in there, and she flushes it. She...enjoys using the flush and says 'bye poo-poo'). I will look up cloth training pants, I hadn't heard of them before.

comment Is giving my toddler a mobile phone to chew on bad for his health
Frankly, I was more concerned about mercury and lead in the casings :)

Kids don't consume toys either, yet we prefer their toys to be without chromium, PVC, and lead - all of which cell phone casings/plastic covers are made of. We don't consume our plates, spoons and bottles either - yet we prefer them to be free of toxic chemicals. Chemicals have a way of "leeching" without being consumed.

Cell phones are made of dangerous chemicals that are not meant to be consumed. It is bad for health.

It would be nice to see answers that address the various age groups, as well as the younger children (babies - 2 year olds)

comment At what age do kids start using eating utensils successfully?
My toddler has been able to eat liquids (milk, water...she enjoys using the spoon) since at least 13 months of age. Sticky stuff like yogurt was a tad earlier. I believer every baby develops differently in this category.
