Almost worth migrating to Skeptics, if you have a link to a notable claim for this...

comment How can we confront our pediatrician about not washing his hands?
As a patient - I would not care what the doctor thought of my request that they wash their hands! They are in the business of helping keep folks healthy - they have a duty of care. They must wash their hands every time. If they feel dejected, well, tough.

You as a parent can definitely feel how loose it is - by wiggling it - so I'm not sure I agree with this answer.

comment At what age would be best for my daughter to admit in nursery school?
Here in the UK, it is common to have kids in nursery from 18 months/2 years, then they go to preschool then school by 4 or 5. Voted to close as opinion as well.

That last paragraph is actually good guidance all through life if confronted by an attacker.

comment What type of tracking technology is practical for young children?
Jpatokal has a very good point though. The risk is still low in the countries you mention, just higher than in Europe and the US, so you should really consider applying your concerns to valid risks and not worry unduly. Focus on protecting your child appropriately.

It took that statement to make the head actually take action. Absolutely justified. And quite legal (even approved of by two police friends of mine)

comment Teaching my 10 year old son appropriate bathroom manners
Definitely agree with you - in my opinion there are two ideal positions: seat and lid down, or seat and lid up. Either is simple to change to the other position. The only important thing is for each user of the toilet to keep it clean.

comment Discipline hyperactive 3 year old
Your description of your child seems like most children of that age - this is pretty common.

Your step 7 - when that happens, all that comes before is effectively neutralised. Your child will know that if they keep going long enough, they get held, and get conversation with you.
