I'm a python/django web developer with experience working with jQuery, Dojo, and HTML5 for front-end development. Currently, I am developing a site at Aragonrobotics.org using ajax, clientside caching, and a backend written in Python using the Django framework. I have worked on the Sympy project, and also work on writing C++ code for the Aragon Robotics Team (private repo).

Should I expect a boy to ask me for permission for prom? Thank you so much. I was really confused over the modern cultural norms. |

As a parent, how should I react to someone asking me for permission for Prom? Would you grill the kid, or would you just look them over? I feel obliged to examine the teen as a parent, but I realize that that's exactly what I hated as a kid. |

What do I do when the timeout method isn't working? According to Kohlberg, she most likely doesn't understand Theory of Mind, and probably understands the hugs/explanation to avoid trouble, which is normal. |

Using experience as a reason for correctness But I think this is the kind of blind obedience that the "I said so" argument creates - although perhaps not as extreme in most cases. |

Using experience as a reason for correctness I frequently hear "because I'm older" or "because I said so" rather than a concrete reason. Does this not lead kids into blindly following authority figures? I feel like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment is a very good example of what I am trying to avoid |
