comment Car seats at the front
Ignoring the safety issues, you should check local laws. In Australia, it is not legal to have a child seat in the front seat unless you have no rear seats (eg: ute or van).

comment Suggestions for a 5 year old who can't sit still in her chair?
@MaryJoFinch - that may be addressing the symptoms rather than the cause. If the child needs sensory input, it may be better to provide it before they sit for the meal rather than during the meal or forcing them to sit still. It sounds like the kid is not in school yet so it important to work out a regime that works on an ongoing basis. That being said, very little information has been provided.

comment How long is it okay for a baby to remain on just breastfeed?
From memory, a baby is born with about 6 months of iron supply in their blood. After that, they need solid food to add iron to their diet, hence the iron fortified baby food. Breast milk is not enough.

comment Helping my Whirling Dervish to slow down
Do you think the ADHD kids who could concentrate were correctly diagnosed with ADHD? I'm neither an expert or a zealot in this, just raising the question. The developmental pediatrician we saw was willing to diagnose our lad with ADHD based upon 10 minutes of him playing in the corner while we chatted.

comment Introducing Shakespeare
My daughter was interested in Shakespeare but found the language too hard to read so I bought a copy of "Tales from Shakespeare", written by Charles and Mary Lamb in 1807. This makes the stories a lot easier to follow by taking out a lot of the arcane language. I didn't really work for her since she moved on to Percy Jackson before the book arrived.
