How to get toddler to eat eggs? He loves helping make scrambled eggs (he puts in the pepper and other spices, and directs me on how to crack the eggs, stir, etc.) Still, absolutely won't eat them. HOWEVER, we found at Easter that hard boiled eggs he would eat... IF he had a hand in boiling, dying, and cracking them, and ONLY IF the hardboiled eggs are dyed green on the outside. Even then, he eats only the whites. |

How to get toddler to eat eggs? We have been able to get him to eat the white parts from hard boiled eggs at Easter without issue. He's just a very, very picky eater, eats like a bird, and has an overwhelming amount of energy. He refuses to obey the 1st Law of Thermodynamics. |

How to a talk to my 4 1/2 year old daughter about death? Great answer. I used a similar approach with my 3-year old son; only problem was a family member who told him about "Going to Jesus' House", which just led to a lot of confusion. He did fine at the funeral though, and even brought a tissue to his grandmother at the podium when she started crying (entirely on his own, which was darling). The service exceeded his attention span though, so he needed to be taken to go explore. |

What should I do when my daughter's health is affected by the cats at my parents home when we visit? If your parent hasn't treated for fleas (or just done a plain carpet wash) due to cost concerns, offer it as a gift or something? Beyond that, just keep in mind: YOU are the mama, YOU make the rules. |

How to handle a defiant 2-year old when he takes something he shouldn't? 4 months later, perhaps due to the techniques mentioned here he exhibits this behavior a LOT less often. (Now it's grabbing a pen and something we don't want him to write on.) Endearingly, he has turned his talent to taking dangerous things away from his little sister and returning them to us. |

Should I encourage my 2½ year old to attempt to “read” his own stories? Ask your father. |
