How do you know when it is time to take a child to the Doctor? The younger child has had a bad cough for 10 days but just started the diarrhea today. She has struggled with respiratory illnesses in the past and had some retractions Sunday and Monday of last week. She is on nebulizer treatments already. The older child has had the same runny nose and cough for 10-12 days but has had diarrhea for 5 days accompanied by a very bad diaper rash. Both ran a fever for about 4 days in that same time frame.
