comment How can I explain to my son why sunlight will hurt his eyes?
Even just staring at the spot of focused sunlight for a few seconds will cause temporary dazzling that would be disconcerting, but without causing permanent damage.

comment How should a parent advise a child who wants to become a musician even though he is devoid of talent?
You may want to ask a follow-up question in Music: Practice & Theory with specifics about which instrument your child is interested in, what sounds bad to you, and what you might be able to do about it.

comment Activities to show to my children that the body is 70% water
Bake a chicken until it's completely dry, weighing it before and after? I've never actually tried this experiment, so I can't say it will work smoothly.

comment What is a good physical activity for a seven-year old who loves falling down?
I do have experience in taekwondo, and can confidently say that there's no falling involved except when you lose your balance. There are jump-kicks, but you're supposed to land on your feet.

If you're going to pick any martial art that involves falling, the obvious one would be judo, and that has already been proposed as an answer.

comment My 13-year-old son made a foolish and wasteful donation. How can I teach him he was wrong?
@Zibbobz I think that Guest's point is that sometimes the natural consequences are enough, and you don't have to impose more consequences.
