Unfortunately, this is a very subjective topic. I am a biological father rather than a step-father and so I am obviously not the ideal candidate to give this kind of advice. Given that, I see your point, it is very well made, and has opened my eyes, thank you.

I think this question would do well to specify the age range of the child(ren) in question. For instance, is this for Children who can read or children who are learning their shapes and colors?
