Diaper rash: if properly treated how long will it last? My wife and I have had great luck with Balmex (Amazon link). If we catch it in the early stages the diaper rash is gone in a couple of diaper changes. It keeps the affected area dry, but isn't hard to clean off. The worst diaper rash we've seen on our baby took about a day to go away. |

What is the correct temperature and humidity to maintain in a child's room at night? +1 more. Our baby still sleeps in our room (he's only just now 6 months and we're waiting until after my semester is over to move him into his room) and he sleeps much warmer than my wife, and even a little warmer than me. We set the thermostat at 70 degrees at night. He needs nothing other than his pajamas and a sleep sack. I use our flannel sheet, and my wifes uses the flannel sheet and the comforter. So find an average temp and adjust blanket/pajama warmth to keep everyone happy. |

How do I teach my toddler not to abuse animals? In addition I'd say that if your child doesn't understand what you're saying, then a period of enforced separation from the animal (if possible) can impress the fact that there are consequences of his treatment of it. |

How do I get my 6-month-old to sleep better at night? Our pediatrician recommended this, but my wife isn't a big fan yet. After the semester is over I think we're going to try it, though because I'm a lighter sleeper than she is and when he starts to get fussy I hear him first. |

What are some milestones a child should reach before learning programming? Frustration with learning the structure of programming is one thing. Frustration with inability to type without spelling errors (which will cause all kinds of program or compile errors) is another thing entirely. If a kid can't type a sentence without mistyping words due to keyboarding errors, he (or she) will not be able to get to the "good" frustration of learning to code. |
