Can putting a one year old baby in a playschool for around 7 hours, daily, cause any psychological issues to the baby? That's quite subjective... I don't think so. Children soon adjust to their circumstances and learn to love them. It would never occur to them that anything could be different. |

Should I encourage my 2½ year old to attempt to “read” his own stories? As long as it was just the ads and not the graffiti :-) |

How to avoid corporal punishment? I agree with Mathew. No blame being attached here. But if you genuinely feel like you can't maintain control over yourself, there are anger-management classes that could help you. Goodness knows, if anything is going to test you to your limits, it's your own children. I really do sympathise, but please seek help. |

Can I help settle my child and make them enjoy nappy changing Our friends have been using these since their little boy was a baby, and have found them great. I always thought they were for potty-training, and had my doubts about how to take them off when full of poo. But turns out they work well as normal nappies, and can be ripped off easily. |

Do dummies (“pacifiers”) hinder speech development? @Mathew Foscarini. Yes "dummy" is the normal word in England. |

Can I help settle my child and make them enjoy nappy changing Our little boy is 2½ and he's hated it from birth. At least now you can reason with/bribe him |
