How to mitigate the impact of other people comparing my children to each other? This is a very good idea. Thank you. |

Sex play in young children I was thinking along these lines too. I had a friend who as a 3 or 4ish year old was engaged in sex play with an older female cousin (around 7). He said that he found out later that she had been molested by her father, and that is probably where she learned those behaviors. On the other hand, I had a different friend who said that he grew up playing "sex" with siblings, cousins, and friends, it was part of mimicking adult behavior, it stopped when they got close to puberty, and it was perfectly harmless. |

Do I need to space big changes? How much? Also, a new bed hopefully will be seen as an exciting, special present. |

How do I stop my 3yr old from wetting the bed at night? We put a potty near my son's bed while he was learning to wake up and go at night. It reduced accidents pretty significantly and now he goes all the way to the bathroom if he needs to go. |

3 year old has a fit when arriving at daycare My oldest son (now 4) had a hard time because he was overwhelmed by the noise and sight of so many children. Part of our "leaving routine" was to stop at the door before we went in and get prepared. I would get down on his level and say "There's a lot of children in there." He'd reply "It's a wild rumpus." Then I'd say, "Ready?" and he'd take a deep breath and reply "Ready!" (or say "not yet I need a hug first" or something) and then we'd go in. It really helped. |

Toddler has a strong preference for one parent I wonder if it is because she has recently noticed how big your husband is and feels a little scared of being too close to him. Will she jump/play/crawl on him if he is lying on the floor? |

How to approach my little brother's addiction to TV and computer? +1 for being a role model. OP isn't a parent, but a brother. The very best thing he can do is be a good brother, as you've suggested. |
