How do I tell my parents that my wife and I are pregnant? Ask them to answer this question. |

What are the risks of posting baby pictures online? Forget future teasing. What about identity theft? Name and birth date, parents and siblings names. Seems pretty risky to put all of that together in one place. |

Does a breast feeding mother's diet affect the breast milk produced? It's not just allergies. Both my sons had sensitivities to milk protein, so I had to eliminate it from my diet completely in order to continue breast-feeding them without causing them serious discomfort (they are old enough to drink milk without difficulty now). |

My child is constantly hungry. How do I keep her feeling fuller? If she's going through a growth spurt, keep in mind that her entire body might be aching too, which can making sleeping difficult. If she's not sleeping well, then she'll be awake long enough to be hungry. |

What do I do about the fact that my child can already read, write and do math before entering Kindergarten? Yes, yes, yes. Especially the emphasis on different work, not more work. Also, I remember how disappointed I was in K because I was sent to the toy corner because I could already read. I wanted to learn stuff, not play! Extracurriculars made a huge difference when I was young. |

Math Encouragement Activities It's for anything you can use an abacus for. It's like having a calculator on your fingers. |

Math Encouragement Activities It's not a proper answer, but have you ever heard of Chisanbop? I learned it when I was a kid and I thought it was really fun. |

How to get 2 year old to vocalize words? Neither one of my two boys said much until after their second birthday. Both of them were speaking in complete sentences and exhibiting complex trains of thought by the time they were three. I hope that encourages you. |

How to raise a child between agnostic parent and believer relatives? This is a great answer. The only real trouble is what about all the people who don't respect atheists and will insist that we agree with their beliefs? For instance, Grampy who told my 4-year-old son that he would burn in hell because he doesn't go to church. (We don't visit Grampy anymore, but the damage is real and lasting.) |

Why was this c-section necessary? I wanted to expand on your #3 a bit. It sounds like in this case, it was not the cervical opening that was the issue, but the distance between the bones of the pelvis. In other words, the mother had "narrow hips." During pregnancy, chemical changes in the body loosen tendons that hold these bones together (which is why pregnant women are highly susceptible to injury), but if the bones won't spread far enough apart, then the baby must be delivered by c-section. There is just no other way, aside from tearing through the tendons and dislocating the bones to make room. |

Does teaching your child sign language improve his emotional health? It will also make you less frustrated since he'll be able to communicate sooner. |
