comment How should a child be prepared for adulthood?
Getting social would be a good tip, but its hard to start without any interest in it. My parents tried that many times, but i have always been afraid of people for some reason. Maybe its just genes, and sometimes there just isnt anything a parent can do about it.

My parents encouraged me in the one thing i was good at, but i grew out of it and lost interest in time. They never talked about jobs in that area, though, i wouldnt have wanted to be in that job, it just wasnt enough. I think i have too big dreams and thats why i dont want to do anything because i can never do what i dream of. I think encouraging is a big deal; i have one interest at the moment, but nobody is encouraging me, which stalls me in starting business in that area. Its hard to motivate yourself all alone.

Yeah, i never felt like getting more freedom in my life, in fact since i can remember (age 3 or 4), i had full freedom, except i had time limits when to go back home. Although my mom didnt allow me to go around the town, i still did it, and she never knew until i told her a while ago :D I think the problem is in my lazy parents, they are lazy from bottom of their heart, but they try to act like "good parents" with all the chores and stuff, which i have always found amusing, and i did the chores only to shut them up. What i hate is they wont admit being bad parents, its all my fault they say.

..no wonder i hate working. But on top of that, i never really had the interest to collect money and buy stuff that i dont need, maybe because i never got a job when i was younger, actually i remember disliking the idea of getting a job at my summer vacation, i felt like i dont need that money. But i remember being eager on getting a job when i was younger, because of my brothers having one too, but i was always told to be too young for it, so i lost my interest after i got older. So i think its possible to make one want a job, but only if someone taught him to get greedy or something. :/

I read your edits. I had responsibility in my childhood, such as cleaning the room(s), taking garbage out, cleaning my drawer, taking dog out frequently, cleaning dishes, etc. I think the problem was that i was never given the impression that getting a job can be fun; my first job was 10-12 hour day with 3 hours time until had to go to sleep again, and i didnt get paid for it, it lasted for few weeks, but felt like a year lol. That job was from school, everyone had to go in some job for 4 weeks or something, just to get used to work-life. Job after job was agony, i was always tired and so on..

Indeed they did. And i have heard similar stories from other people too, so i am not alone, gladly. I think this question should be renamed to "How to prevent your child from becoming a loser?" or something. My parents have been stuck with their crappy jobs for their whole life, they chose one job and sticked with it, they hate their jobs too, they are just stuck in their daily rhythm and became zombies who only wait for the weekends so they can finally feel not-bad, thats what i fear of becoming too. And its not just my parents, pretty much everyone i know are like that.

Sad truth is that i dont even have a career, i dropped it a while ago, and i dont know when i will go to work again, i dont want to work. It might seem easy to you, to get a job you like, but why do bums exist then, if it's so easy for everyone? I dont live on the streets yet, probably because i am not alcoholic or anything like that which would drag me that low. Maybe this question should be renamed to "How to prevent a child from becoming a loser?", but it might be too wide topic.
