How do you handle unsupervised, poorly behaved children in public play areas? "Speak to the parent privately and give suggestions" can be problematic though, if you find the parent is one of the perfect ones who resent you telling them how to parent! Any well-intentioned advice can be seen as criticism of their parenting style, and met with hostility. I would be very careful doing this. |

How to deal with a bedwetting teenager? Thank you, all good solid advice. I will look at his diet, and I think a trip back to our doctor is in order too. Stress in his life is difficult to evaluate right now (we live in Christchurch, New Zealand, where there were major earthquakes this year - everyone's stress levels are elevated!) but the bedwetting was happening before the earthquakes.
