How do you cope in the first few months? Wishing you the best because my wife and I are working with our 3 week old right now. It gets a little easier every day. The first days are the most extreme nerve wracking stress you'll ever experience at any time in your life. |

How do you cope in the first few months? Yeah nobody should be placing judgements on how people feed their baby. Breastfeeding IS very hard to master. Its taken us a lot of investment in time and money to get it to work. I have no idea how a poorer/single parent would do it and we had many moments of near absolute failure at it with both of us working hard. The pressure/stress of breastfeeding being very high I eventually concluded that its completely understandable and OK for some to choose to remove loads of unhealthy stress from the whole early parenting experience and just formula feed. |

Will getting child care from a non-native English speaker impact my child's language development? I'm not sure that would be feasible unless every parent in the daycare thought it was ok. Also is there actually research that bilingualism helps a child's development, or is that just something commonly accepted? |
