I am a school Library Media Specialist. I have taught at every level from preschool to 12th grade. I have taught nearly every subject. I recently had my first child and I am very interested in a community where I can use my experiences to help others along with dip into the experience of other people to better raise my daughter.

comment How should I prepare myself, my husband, and my daughter for my return to work?
I am breastfeeding. I have not figured out the daycare piece - my mother will watch her full time for a few weeks for us to make arrangements and then will watch her part time after that. I will need to find daycare of some sort for 2-3 days a week.

comment How do you cope in the first few months?
Breastfeeding is hands down the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. If I was not dedicated to it (and recently unemployed) I know I would have given up. I am so happy I finally let go of feeling like I should just know what to do and called a lactation consultant. I wish I had not struggled for 3 months before calling her. Do not be afraid to ask for help!

Having the right attitude is for sure the most important thing - particularly finding solutions as a team!
