How to prepare to homeschool our new baby There's not much at that link about foetal development. As far as I know most studies of pre-birth "learning aids" are inconclusive at best, but I don't have a link to back that up. |

I love my step son so much but it irritates me when he compares me to his dad +1 My first thought was sounds like he's looking for positive things about his biological dad that he might get. |

My 2 month old daughter is trying to stand; can this be harmful? I will say that as far as I can see, the advice from that doctor applies to parents trying to encourage walking, rather than assisting with something the baby is already trying to do, but if you have concerns, this would be a doctor thing, not a random people on the internet thing. |

Should we put our a child in a preschool with a primary language we do not speak? edited title. Suggested edit encouraged a list, but I agree with genericising it |

Pros and cons of putting an infant in a Daycare @AnishaKaul It's entirely dependent on the daycare, the area, and even varies from staff-member to staff member. In the UK, they enforce policies on nurseries, and TV for infants is a red mark, but you do have to assess by going how much interaction and care there is. If you're in an area with lots of kids and low funding, more TV. We ended up going with a "child-minder" (basically looking after 5-6 kids of ages 7-8 months and up), and she had time to engage with them all. Really worth the money... but a significant amount of money. |

Is it allowed to play with unfamiliar child? @Anonymous Yes, all of those affect the answer. I mean, you could start a fairly successful forum purely devoted to stories and debates about when it is and is not acceptable to play with a child and to leave a child to play by themselves. Give us an example so we know roughly your situation. If someone then has a similar question but with different bounds, that can be linked to this one. |

Is it allowed to play with unfamiliar child? Alternatively, it's so nice to live in the UK where people ask before abducting your children to fill them full of sugar. It allows you to tell the difference between waitress and kidnapper. |

Is learning mathematics good to build personal character? I suspect you meant this by whatever, but just to be clear still others would say none of the above for character: youtube.com/watch?v=H_BtmV4JRSc |

Is it allowed to play with unfamiliar child? We need more context for this. I mean, the situation is entirely dependent upon what you mean by unfamiliar and game. Playing tag where you sweep 3-year kids up into your arms with random kids you met in the park, probably not okay. Playing Cluedo with a bunch of teenagers at someone's housewarming, probably okay. |
