comment Why does my son (5) suddenly provoke me although everything seemed to be perfect before?
p. s. What do you think I am projecting onto him?

comment Why does my son (5) suddenly provoke me although everything seemed to be perfect before?
it't not my own idea, that my son is a HSP, but it is the conclusion of a psychologist which has been working with him for a longer time (for other reasons). While I do agree with you that a label can reinforce the self-concept and can be like a self-fulfilling prophecy, I think that it can help him to understand, why he is different from most people who consider themselves "normal". If I had known about HSP already 30 years ago, I believe that some things might have been a lot easier for me... and since we (parents) know about HSP, dealing with his tempers has become much easier for us.

concerning point 1: he is 8.5 years and the problem persists, so is it ok if I start worrying now?

concerning point 3: what's wrong the words "specialised doctor"? I am writing that to underline, that it is not a "normal" pediatrician, but a doctor/hospital which have a lot of experience with children having encopresis and enuresis or both. (And she is not a urologist by her education.) Furthermore I am not a native speaker, so please please do not take every word literally (but feel free to inform me about unclear or mistakable wording).

concerning your point 4: which previous answers are you referring to, which you say I have rejected?

comment How to deal with extreme misbehavior of younger siblings?
Dear Katryn, it's now about 1 year ago that you asked this question. I would be happy to hear how you and your family are now? Did your situation get better in the meantime?

comment Learning to play an instrument: Should we insist that our child practices each day?
I agree with you, but he does not want to give up any of the courses. sports is very important for his health/development, so we don't want to cut them down as long as he enjoys those activities.

yes, I do play an instrument as well - I had lessons for >12 years. At the moment I only rarely have the time to play.
