Does pulling kids out of class for special help negatively influence them? @morahhochman: Nobody needs to be pulled out, and as I mentioned, nobody got helped. The kids in the special maths class still sucked at maths, and my handwriting (which definitely needed help) still looks horrible, 35 years later. If a kid needs extra help, then he/she should be given exactly that: extra help. The special classes should not mean you get pulled from ordinary classes. |

Vaccine reactions This is medical advice, IMO, and is off topic. The answer is always: Call a doctor. |

How can I teach a child to keep trying after a failure? The increased one-on-one time for homework was what they ended up doing and it seems to have worked. |

How can we improve a trilingual toddler's basic language development? I seem to have trouble communicating this, even though I've stated it repeatedly: I'm not worried that anything is wrong. I'm asking how I can help the language development on it's path. The question in the topic is the question I am asking. |

How can we improve a trilingual toddler's basic language development? When I wrote this I wasn't worrying. But at this point she still has trouble with mommy/daddy, and I'm starting to think we are doing something wrong. She are developing, and start to use words (sometimes made up by herself), but amid this, she still don't understand that I'm daddy and my wife is mommy. It's very strange to me. That said, I'm not asking if it is "normal". I'm asking for recommendations of what to do to help her. |

At what age can you leave the child in the bathtub? Good idea. But not an actual answer, though. :-) |

How should a good potty look? Selected as answer, as it's the only one who answers the actual question. :-) |

How do you balance time for playdates vs family time? I think the problem is that you don't specify what kind of answers you want. What do you mean with "how"? I mean, the correct answer is "You increase what is to low, and decrease what is too high, until you have reached balance". Which of course is a pretty useless answer. So you must mean something else with "how", but what you mean isn't clear. Do you mean to ask what balance is a good balance? |
