My four-month-old son received a shot for DTaP-IPV/Hib vaccine (Pentacel®). Due to my family emergency, my infant needs to be out of the States for up-to a year. We want to make sure that he gets vaccine on the schedule as much as possible. However, there is no Pentacel over there. Therefore, doctor shots him a vaccine from other company. Will be any problem with that if we switch back-and-forth when he get back here in the US? My question is for the vaccine in general from infant to toddler years not just Pentacel.

Hi 1888. If you check the faq, you'll see we don't handle this kind of very specific medical question. For starters, your child's medical state is specific to their case history, we're not doctors, and finally, this is the kind of question that requires a response from a qualified doctor with access to your notes. The best I can say is that you should consult your doctor if you're worried, and obviously monitor your child's reaction. Sorry! – deworde Aug 20 '12 at 8:34
As deworde mentioned, this is really off-topic here. This is a medical question, and not a parenting one. You need to check with your pediatrician. – Beofett Aug 20 '12 at 15:19
