Parenting Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for parents, grandparents, nannies and others with a parenting role. It's 100% free, no registration required.

This has been happening for about 3 days now. My 1.5 year old son has had very watery, orange tinged poop that smells very strongly of vomit. Other than a diaper rash it doesn't seem to bother him much. He doesn't seem to be sick. He's also been particularly gassy. I'm going to call the pediatrician in the morning but wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Could it be food allergy? I've read that symptoms of gluten intolerance are similar.

Specific medical issues are considered off topic because they're not related directly to parenting. I wouldn't get too worked up though. Unless he's had a major diet change in the last week or so, it's probably just run of the mill diarrhea. Kids that age often don't complain, and diarrhea often doesn't have concomitant symptoms. – Karl Bielefeldt Jan 7 '12 at 4:03
As Karl noted, medical questions like this are off topic by definition. If you have medical questions, consult a doctor. – cabbey Jan 7 '12 at 6:45
