Just what the title says. For websites, I'm looking for good interfaces, definitions/origins, and statistical info.

I'm closing this because it is a shopping recommendation (shopping for good websites), and, per our FAQ questions of this nature are too localized and are not timeless. If you can rephrase it to be more about how to find good resources (what makes a good resource, etc.), rather than just a list of suggestions, you are welcome to open it as a new question. – Beofett Oct 6 '11 at 18:44

As it currently stands, this question is not a good fit for our Q&A format. We expect answers to be supported by facts, references, or specific expertise, but this question will likely solicit debate, arguments, polling, or extended discussion. If you feel that this question can be improved and possibly reopened, see the FAQ for guidance.

Maybe this was just my experience, but for the most part, each of the dozens of baby name websites out there seemed to be the same thing in a different skin.

The website I used was babynames.com, which is one of the more popular ones (possibly just because it snagged the best url). It shows you the origin of the name and how popular it is now. Something I didn't notice other websites do, it also tells you what year that name was most popular.

While I haven't used it for baby names (just character naming), I've found Think Baby Names to be exceptionally good as a source. They, like BabyNames.com, give origins and popularities, but they also give related names, alternate forms, and "sounds like" names. However, their site is horribly ad cluttered.
